This is it, my last footsteps on Chinese land (for now), it really has been an amazing experience, made some super awesome friends who always helped me when I needed them. I started on this international adventure 14 Weeks ago. Now, it comes to an end, and I can look back at an unforgettable experience. The past three months I have been working at CARET, a place where I felt almost immediately at home. I will definitely carry the city of Cambridge in my heart for the rest of my life. We had such a great time in West Kirby today. Carl picked us up with his car and drove us to his home, which is quite far away from FACT. I thought he lived closer to Liverpool. After a nice walk on the beach, we went to Carl’s house for a barbeque. Good times. I have a lot more pictures but I can’t post them all unfortunately. It was such a nice day out, we’ve even seen some seals. Awesome.
It was time I updated my portfolio with the new work I’ve done. I wasn’t happy with the current design so I’m building something new. A basic, clean, to the point layout. When it’s finished I’ll definitively post a link.
Had such a great time at Jen’s birthday party! We gave her our version of a birthday cake: a basket filled with Belgian beers. Can’t seem to find the picture I took, my phone doesn’t register all the pictures I take.. really annoying.
Chris gave us a book about FACT called “We are the real-time experiment”. I’m sure it will prove helpful while writing our thesis. It describes the last 20 years of FACT.
We pass this little guy every morning to work. It’s one of the statues near Chinatown. We havn’t even gone there yet, such a shame. I feel like I’m working so much on our thesis that I don’t go out in Liverpool to see things anymore.
I don’t like shopping.. unless it’s font-shopping. Been looking at different fonts to use in a project I’m working on.
Yep, there we have it. Just like I said it would be: we were completely soaked this morning. The weather looked fine until we drove to work. I dislike wet clothes.
